Fix Text Neck with This Simple Trick

If you’re reading this on your phone, chances are you need to fix text neck—right now. That forward head tilt while scrolling may not seem like a big deal, but it adds extra stress to your neck and shoulders, leading to pain, stiffness, and even headaches.

What Is Text Neck?

Text neck happens when you constantly look down at your phone, causing your head to shift forward. For every inch your head moves in front of your shoulders, your spine takes on an extra 10 pounds of pressure. Over time, this strains your muscles, compresses your spine, and can even contribute to long-term damage.

How to Fix Text Neck in 3 Easy Steps

The good news? You can fix it with a few simple changes:

  1. Bring your phone to eye level – Instead of dropping your head down, lift your screen up so your spine stays aligned.
  2. Do a chin tuck – Pull your chin straight back (not down) to reset your posture. Hold for five seconds and repeat a few times throughout the day.
  3. Take posture breaks – Set a reminder to check your posture every hour and stretch your neck and shoulders.
